1. Returns & Refunds Policy

We aim to be fair, transparent, and practical for both customers and our business.

Digital Products (downloads, ebooks, PDFs, software)

Refunds are handled case by case. We may issue a refund when:

  • You accidentally purchased the same product more than once.
  • You experience a technical issue we cannot resolve.
  • The product does not meet reasonable expectations and you contact us within 14 days.

We may decline a digital refund when:

  • The product has been downloaded, accessed, or used extensively.
  • The request is made after 14 days.
  • There is evidence of abuse or bad faith.

Physical Products (books, cards, print packs)

Returns are accepted within 30 days of delivery when:

  • The item is damaged or defective.
  • The wrong item was received.
  • You are unsatisfied and the item is unused and in original condition.

Return shipping is the customer's responsibility unless the item is faulty or incorrect.

Booked Services (coaching, consults, workshops)

  • Cancellations up to 24 hours before the session: full refund or reschedule.
  • Cancellations inside 24 hours and no-shows: non-refundable.
  • If unsatisfied, contact us within 7 days and we will work to resolve it, including partial or full refund where appropriate.

Digital Services

For web design, development, IT support, website maintenance, email support, digital consulting, design, writing, troubleshooting, and related project work:

  • You may cancel work that has not yet been performed.
  • Completed time and approved third-party costs remain payable.
  • If completed work does not meet an agreed requirement or an applicable consumer guarantee, contact us promptly so we can assess the issue and provide an appropriate remedy.
  • A change of mind does not normally entitle you to a refund for services already performed.

To request a refund or return: support@rickybrowne.com

Postal address: 35 Furlong Street, Dubbo NSW 2830, Australia

Include purchase email, order details/receipt, and reason for request. We aim to respond within 3 business days.

2. Subscription & Recurring Payment Terms

Effective date: 14 August 2026

Some Ricky Browne apps, tools, and services may offer paid monthly subscriptions. Subscriptions may unlock extra features, premium tools, freemium modal upgrades, increased limits, cloud backup options, or other subscriber-only functionality.

Recurring Billing

  • Subscriptions are billed monthly on a recurring basis until cancelled.
  • Payments are processed securely through Stripe or another listed payment processor.
  • By subscribing, you authorise the payment processor to charge your selected payment method each billing period.
  • Prices, inclusions, and billing periods are shown at the point of purchase or subscription.

Cancellation

You may cancel your subscription at any time. Cancellation stops future recurring charges, but it does not automatically refund past charges or the current billing period unless required by law or approved case by case.

If you have trouble cancelling, contact support@rickybrowne.com and include the email address used for the subscription.

Access After Cancellation

After cancellation, paid features may remain available until the end of the current paid billing period. When that period ends, access may revert to the free version or be removed.

Failed Payments

If a recurring payment fails, access to paid features may be paused, reduced, or cancelled until payment is successfully processed.

3. Terms of Service

Effective date: 14 August 2026

By purchasing, accessing, or using products and services from Ricky Browne websites, you agree to these terms.

Products & Services

Offerings include digital products, physical products, time-based services, free tools, freemium tools, paid subscriptions, app features, and cloud-enabled services. Check each listing, app screen, or checkout page for delivery, access, and usage details.

Digital Services, Rates & Billing

Digital services include web design and development, website changes and maintenance, IT and email support, troubleshooting, digital consulting, design, content and writing work, research, configuration, testing, deployment, meetings, and other agreed digital work.

  • The standard rate is $75 AUD per hour, unless a different rate or fixed price is agreed in writing.
  • Time is charged in 30-minute increments. Each commenced increment is $37.50.
  • Reasonable time spent communicating about the work, investigating problems, making changes, testing, deployment, and documenting or handing over the work may be billable when it directly relates to the requested service.
  • Ricky Browne is not registered for GST. No GST is added to the stated rate or invoice total.
  • Estimates are good-faith indications, not fixed prices. If the likely cost materially exceeds an estimate, we will seek approval before continuing where reasonably practical.
  • Fixed-price work covers only the scope stated in the written quote or agreement. New features, additional revisions, changed instructions, and work caused by incomplete or inaccurate client information may be quoted or billed separately.

Approval, Scope & Client Responsibilities

  • Work may be authorised by accepting a quote, paying a deposit, booking a service, or giving clear written approval by email or message.
  • You must provide timely access, content, decisions, approvals, account details, and accurate information reasonably needed to complete the work.
  • Timeframes may change when information, access, approval, third-party services, or other client dependencies are delayed.
  • You are responsible for checking and approving final text, names, prices, contact details, legal claims, and other business information before publication.

Invoices, Deposits & Overdue Accounts

  • Payment timing, deposits, milestones, and accepted payment methods will be shown on the quote or invoice.
  • Unless another due date is agreed in writing, invoices are due within 30 calendar days of the invoice date.
  • Work, support, hosting, deployment, or handover may be paused while an invoice is overdue, where lawful and reasonable.
  • Reasonable recovery costs may be sought for overdue debts where permitted by law and disclosed to the client.

Managed Website Hosting

Managed website hosting costs $30 per month and is charged annually at $360 per year. Annual hosting invoices are sent at the beginning of June for payment before the end of the Australian financial year.

Managed hosting includes:

  • Website hosting and monitoring.
  • Priority support and practical advice.
  • Reasonable website updates within the managed hosting service. Larger changes, redesigns, new features, and project work may be quoted or billed separately at the standard digital services rate.
  • In-house website analytics.
  • Routine security checks.
  • Speed testing and reasonable performance optimisation.
  • Face-to-face access by appointment where practical.

Email support services are also available. The scope and any separate email hosting, licensing, migration, configuration, or support charges will be stated in the relevant quote or invoice.

Hosting Non-Payment

If a hosting invoice remains unpaid for 60 calendar days after its invoice date, the hosted website may be disabled after reasonable payment reminders or notice. Disabling hosting does not cancel the outstanding invoice or remove the client's responsibility to pay amounts already due. Hosting may be restored after overdue amounts are paid, subject to technical availability and any reasonable restoration work required.

Domain Registration & Renewal

  • Registration or renewal of a .com, .com.au, or .au domain costs $60 per domain per year.
  • Domain invoices are sent at the beginning of June for payment before the end of the Australian financial year.
  • Domain registration and renewal depend on registry eligibility, availability, registry rules, and successful payment.
  • The client is responsible for providing accurate registrant information and maintaining eligibility for restricted domain namespaces such as .com.au and .au.
  • Domains managed on a client's behalf can be transferred to the client or another provider upon written request. We will provide or arrange the available transfer credentials within a reasonable time, subject to registry restrictions, identity or authority checks, and payment of outstanding domain registration or renewal costs associated with that domain.
  • A domain transfer does not automatically transfer website files, hosting, email, databases, paid licences, or third-party accounts unless separately agreed.

Third-Party Services & Costs

Domains, hosting, software licences, plugins, stock assets, advertising, payment processing, email services, and other third-party products are not included unless stated. Approved third-party costs may be paid directly by you or added to an invoice. Third-party services are also subject to their providers' terms, pricing, availability, and privacy practices.

Ownership, Licences & Portfolio Use

  • You retain ownership of material you supply and confirm that you have permission to use it.
  • Unless otherwise agreed, final project-specific deliverables transfer to you after full payment.
  • Ricky Browne retains ownership of pre-existing tools, reusable code, methods, templates, systems, know-how, and third-party materials, while granting the licence reasonably needed to use the completed deliverable.
  • Unless confidentiality or another written agreement prevents it, completed public work may be identified or displayed in a portfolio.

Pausing or Ending Digital Services

Either party may end an ongoing service arrangement by written notice. You remain responsible for completed work, approved costs, and non-cancellable commitments up to the end date. We may pause or end work for overdue payment, unlawful or abusive requests, security risks, missing access or information, or a serious breach of the agreement.

Service Standards & Australian Consumer Law

Services will be provided with due care and skill, be fit for any purpose made known and agreed to, and be supplied within the agreed time or otherwise within a reasonable time, as required by the Australian Consumer Law. Nothing in these terms excludes, restricts, or modifies rights or remedies that cannot lawfully be excluded.

Payments

Payments are processed via Stripe, PayPal, or listed payment processors. Prices are shown in AUD unless stated otherwise. Subscription products may renew automatically until cancelled.

Delivery & Access

  • Digital products are delivered by download link or email.
  • Physical goods are shipped with estimated delivery windows shown on product pages.
  • Services are delivered as described on the relevant booking or information pages.
  • App subscriptions and premium features are provided through the relevant app, website, account, or payment processor access system.

Refunds

See the Returns & Refunds Policy above.

5. CloudSync & Data Backup Policy

Effective date: 5 June 2026

CloudSync is Ricky Browne branded cloud backup and sync functionality used in some apps and tools. CloudSync may store or sync app data using third-party cloud infrastructure, including Firebase and related storage or database services.

CloudSync Is a Convenience, Not a Guarantee

CloudSync is provided to help users back up or sync data, but no cloud system can guarantee perfect availability, recovery, or protection against every kind of data loss. Sync and backup features can fail because of user action, device issues, network problems, third-party outages, software bugs, account problems, storage limits, or accidental deletion.

User Backup Responsibility

You are responsible for making and keeping your own manual backups of important data. Do not rely on CloudSync, Firebase, your device, browser storage, or any single backup method as your only copy. You should use every practical backup method available to you, including manual exports, screenshots or copies of critical information, device backups, external storage, and any cloud backups provided by your operating system or other trusted services.

Data Loss

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Ricky Browne is not liable for lost, deleted, overwritten, corrupted, inaccessible, or unrecoverable data, including data stored locally, synced through CloudSync, or stored through third-party services such as Firebase. If data is important, it is your responsibility to keep independent backups outside the app.

Third-Party Storage

CloudSync may depend on third-party providers, including Firebase, for authentication, database, hosting, sync, or storage functionality. Use of cloud-enabled features may be affected by those providers' availability, terms, limits, and security practices.

6. Apps Privacy Policy

Effective date: 5 June 2026

This section applies to Ricky Browne apps and tools, including Level Up Meditator, Level Up Guide, Gym Bud, and other web, desktop, or mobile apps released under Ricky Browne, 7B.AU, or related brands.

Information Collected

Some apps do not require accounts. Other apps or premium features may use accounts, subscription access, CloudSync, or third-party services such as Firebase. Anonymous first-party analytics may be collected to improve performance and usability.

Local Storage

App settings and data may be stored locally on your device. If you enable cloud, sync, backup, account, or subscription features, some app data or metadata may be sent to external services needed to provide those features.

CloudSync

CloudSync may store, sync, or back up app data through Ricky Browne branded services and third-party infrastructure including Firebase. CloudSync is intended as an additional convenience only. You remain responsible for manual backups and independent copies of important data.

First-Party In-House Analytics

Ricky Browne uses OzAnalytics, an in-house first-party analytics tool, to collect anonymous device and usage patterns so app performance and usability can be improved. OzAnalytics does not use ad tracking.

Journal Mailing List

By logging into any 7B.AU app, including Freewriter, you are automatically added to the Journal mailing list. You may unsubscribe at any stage.

Your Control

You can clear local storage or remove the app to delete local app data. Analytics controls may also be managed through device/browser privacy settings.

Policy Changes

This policy may be updated over time. Continued use after updates means you accept the revised policy.
