Log--9909-06/10/2026-Ricky-Browne

It's 5:34AM, my six-year-old girl and I are in my office, she's playing Toca Boca World on her tablet and I've been watching Hasan Piker who was watching an Ezra Klein interview with a China expert. Liz is still in bed, if she's not up by 6:30 I'll start getting Grace ready for school and let her sleep. Yesterday we had the book week parade, for me it was a bit awkward but fun, but for Liz it was just plain awkward, having to relive the awkwardness of school life. I won't go into what that means, you'll have to figure that out for yourself.

Today I shoot video live, maybe. I've been planning on doing it but keep putting it off, knowing it probably won't live up to my expectations, but I'm just going to tell myself, it can be shit, it doesn't have to be polished, and dead air is fine, no one will be watching anyway.
I am struck by this verse in James,

James 3:6-8

6 The tongue also is a fire, a world of evil among the parts of the body. It corrupts the whole body, sets the whole course of one’s life on fire, and is itself set on fire by hell.
7 All kinds of animals, birds, reptiles and sea creatures are being tamed and have been tamed by mankind,
8 but no human being can tame the tongue. It is a restless evil, full of deadly poison.

I want to use my tongue, good luck Browne.

I also have to set up dads tablet we brought him for his birthday, and go shopping for my parents, my dad had an eye op and can't drive till he gets new glasses.

Yesterday after the parade which was held in a cramped space because of the rain, we spent the day together talking and laughing and planning, it was good and fruitful.
