My relationship to God is simple. I know I'm wrong, and he knows better. WWGD.
The idea of a cranky God is so ridiculous; what, God's low EQ now! He chucks big wobbles when what he knows is gonna happen happens. Thank Christ for the new covenant.
Dear God, please save my wretched soul...
My people are Christians because they are at least trying to be better, to be good humans. I sometimes wish they were a little saltier.
Everyone should have the attitude that God is with them, he has their back, but also that you don't deserve it; a person who believes God is with them, and they are deserving of it, is a little too self-righteous for my small, frail mind.
Christian Planetary Pledge- I hold the belief that God loves me and provides me with grace, and that this is reflected in my actions by doing the right thing.
- I hold that God does not need me to seek the destruction of our planet in order to accelerate the coming of the end times.
- I pledge to join the chorus of Christians who wish to ensure we do not sacrifice the sustainability of our planet or accelerate its destruction so Jesus can return sooner rather than later.
- I pledge to think about my impact on the environment through my behaviour, my influence, and my voting rights. I will not use this planet as a sacrificial lamb for my life to come.
- I pledge not to use the fact that there is evil in the world to actively seek its ruin through my words, influence, actions, and voting rights.
- I hold that I will not be easily swayed by those who seek to align themselves with the church, only to bend its perception for the sake of greater or ongoing profits.
- I pledge that if a certain politician, political group, or organisation aligns itself with the church and the Bible, I will assess its intentions and question whether it is using Christianity as a platform to manipulate the Christian population for its own ends or those of its political donors.
- I pledge that while God is in control, we still have free will, and He wants us to make good choices for ourselves and others.
I think God is telling me I'm not going to ever be successful, and that is where I should put my happiness...
I'm a bad egg; that's why I'm a Christian. I think I'm a good egg. But then I have these realisations about how selfish I am.
I'm not going to give up everything for Jesus, I'm not sure he wants me to.
I went to church with my crow shirt on last Sunday, and a little old lady said to me, 'The only good crow is a dead crow!' Before proceeding to tell me that they eat the eyes of baby lambs. If I had been a bit quicker on my feet, I would have mentioned what a Sunday roast is made of.
